Words from the Creator: "Action is eloquence." -- William Shakespeare...RYAN returns to destroy the powers that control his city and will do just that; whether his goal is to save or to rule that city is the only question. This story will push the boundaries of plausible action and violence, not into an offensive place but one that is fueled by creativity/innovation. It will be an opus of action. A lofty goal but why not aim big?

I like where this started.  What do you mean by "opus of action"? I mean, you can sure turn a phrase but what does that mean?

I think you should read the first story arc synopsis. It might give you an idea of what to expect.

I don't get why this thing has more fans than a lot of properties but less heat. How is that calculated?

I would doubt that Heat is a flat statistic based on any single factor.  More likely, it's an aggregate score based on a variety of things: the number of Fans, the number of comments from users...

For those of you who have been asking...let's be honest, for the two of you who have been asking, I have posted some more story info over in "pitchland" to the left of your screen.  It let's you know some more about Ryan and New Unity as well as laying out the main beats for the first complete arc.

As always, thoughts & comments are welcome!!!

The internet is like the real world in many ways. The mob can be fickle. Fortunes can change in a heartbeat.

More story? Excellent! I will check it out.

Hey everyone,

Continuing with the theme I started yesterday I'd like to let everyone in on the master that is Ian Sokoliwski. As you can tell from the books The Mix by IanG and Minus One by Tenzil Kim as well as Lotus, Ian has been on a rampage with producing some great ink and colour work.

*BTW I'm using "Colour" and not "color" cause I'm north of the border.

Back to Ian. As you can probably tell from his impressive resume, his blog and his portfolio, Ian has been working in comics for quite some time. When I was contacted by Z2H about Lotus and was told that Ian would be both the inker and colouer, I have to admit, I wasn't sure how it was going to play out.

Good ol'Google helped me find out some information on Ian and I was hooked. His artwork is amazing and he approaches his craft like a true pro. Lotus was completed in iterations. Miguel would complete a few pages at a time and once approved they would be sent to Ian. Ian then sent me every single inked panel and then every single coloured panel for approval and all of it was inspiring.

Check him out sporting the Z2H shirt at a Con!

Here I was, this nobody with a word processor, having to approve inks and colours from a guy who's worked for Marvel, DC, Ape and Arcana! Obviously this was the first time I'd ever worked with an inker and colourer and I'm pretty sure Ian knew this, but he helped me through the process, made his work transparent and was open to the entire process!

Go check out his blog and portfolio

Again, if Lotus ever gets to continue, I'd want to work with Ian again.

Later

How can anyone disagree with this? The proof is allover the page and Lotus is 100% correct. It looks like Miguel & Ian S made a fantastic team that brought a couple of great books, as well as...

Tell me what you thought of it.  Tell me what you liked or hated about it.  Since Z2H is supposed to be about creators and fans having a say, tell me what you would like to see happen in the story.  I know where I want it to go already but I want to know where you think it's going.

I just want to know what you're thinking and you're going to have to tell me. My friend in physics won't change his Masters thesis to work on my Doc Brown telepathy helmet. He's also discontinued work on my stargate...Boo-urns to that.

I enjoyed it, but it left me a bit unsatisfied. It seems like the story has just begun. We barely get to know the characters before the book is over. It's like the first ten minutes of a movie.
