There was a LOT of interest in the Detour Pilot Project, a TELETOON program that invites Canadian producers to submit proposals to produce a fully funded pilot. More information on the Pilot Project and complete submission information can be found at corp.teletoon.com. Please note: the deadline for submissions is December 31, 2007.

 
Michael Goldsmith - Director, Original Content

Michael is the Director, Original Content for TELETOON, the country's first and only 24-hour animation station. In this role, he oversees the development and production of original content including multiplatform distribution.

An industry veteran, Michael comes to TELETOON from Corus Entertainment where he was the Director of Broadcast Sales and Promotion for Nelvana and responsible for broadcast sales in Canada. He was also involved in the brand management of the animated series 6TEEN, Wayside, Jane and the Dragon, Jacob Two Two, and Grossology. He was also part of the team dedicated to the qubo project which is a television and multimedia network for children that supports literacy and positive values for children.

 

Michael is looking forward to helping a new generation of creators on their journey from zero to hero.
