| 1. WHAT ARE THE OBJECTIVES OF THE NSI playWRITE PROGRAM? |
- To provide successful applicants with the opportunity to take their current creative writing skills and become game writers.
- To provide the most promising candidates with professional mentorship and an internship with a Canadian game studio.

| 2. WHAT DOES NSI playWRITE OFFER? |
This includes:
- An intensive one week training session ("boot camp") where you'll be exposed to designers on the cutting edge of narrative design and get a chance to put their techniques into practice.
- A two-month independent design phase where you'll be mentored by narrative design experts.
- An internship working with a leading Canadian game development studio.

| 3. WHAT COSTS DOES NSI COVER? |
- The costs of accommodation and airfare to and from Vancouver for the boot camp. You will also receive a per diem while attending the Boot Camp.
- Arrangements regarding internships will be arrived at on a case by case basis and are yet to be determined.

| 4. WHAT ARE THE DATES OF THE NSI playWRITE PROGRAM? |
- The boot camp will run from May 21st - 24th, 2008.
- The independent design phase runs for two months after that (ending July 25th).
- Internships will be announced by August 15th, 2008.

| 5. WHO CAN APPLY TO THE NSI playWRITE PROGRAM? |
- All applicants must be Canadian citizens or landed immigrants, reside in Canada and be over the age of 18.
- You must not be currently enrolled in any full-time school or university program.
- Applicants with a game design credit on a released title are NOT eligible.

| 6. HOW DO I APPLY? |
- Join the Zeros 2 Heroes site and create your personal pitch using the Personal Pitch Doctor tool.
- Go the NSI Canada website and download the full application form.
- You must fill out ALL sections of the application form in full and you must include ALL supporting documents.
- Your application must ALSO contain the Zeros 2 Heroes receipt number which is generated when you create your personal pitch using the Spin Doctor.
- All information must be received by NSI Canada no later than April 28th, 2008.
- Please check all copies of your application very carefully before you send it to us.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the application is complete and delivered on time.

| 7. HOW WILL APPLICANTS BE SELECTED? |
- A jury will be formed consisting of representatives from NSI, all participating game studios and Zeros 2 Heroes.
- The Zeros 2 Heroes community will also vote on their choices using the web tools provided.
- Community input will be factored in by the jury in the decision making process.

| 8. WHEN WILL I KNOW IF I HAVE BEEN SELECTED? |
But more seriously...
- Selection of participants will be completed by May 1, 2008.
- Only those applicants selected for NSI playWRITE will be contacted.
- The names of the successful candidates will be posted on the participating websites
(www.nsi-canada.ca and www.zeros2heroes.com).

| 9. CAN I SUBMIT MY APPLICATION BY FAX OR EMAIL? |
All applications must be mailed, couriered or hand-delivered to the NSI office in Winnipeg.
