Comic Creation Nation has helped us uncover great new Canadian writers. Now we want to give everyone else the same chance.

Get Scouted By The Pros

Now ANYONE can go from Zero to Hero!

In answer to overwhelming international demand (ok, two guys in Pittsburgh), Zeros 2 Heroes has decided to expand its search for talented writers to the four corners of the earth. Now anyone — regardless of nationality — can get their story produced as a professional comic through the Zeros 2 Heroes system.

To help guide this effort, we’ve assembled an advisory board of heavy hitters from the entertainment industry: development execs, literary agents and producers. These folks will be culling the site to uncover tremendous new pitches that have been overlooked by the community or are ineligible for campaigns like Comic Creation Nation.

When our advisory board finds one of these hidden gems, Zeros 2 Heroes will send it straight to development. After contacting (and contracting) the creator, we will:

  • Create a sizzling 22 page comic based on their pitch;
  • Build a publicity campaign around the property; and
  • Work with our partners to take the finished work as far as it can go.

All this at no cost to the creator. Now ANYONE can get their break on Zeros 2 Heroes — you just need an equal dose of talent and commitment. And maybe just a bit of luck.

How do I get my work noticed?

As any winner of Comic Creation Nation will tell you:

  • Write a great story
  • Be a great Z2H member

“Great story” speaks for itself but we are also looking for creators who have demonstrated a commitment to developing their craft and furthering their career. If you blog frequently, give (and take) feedback, and generally show an interest in the community, you are much more likely to get noticed.

How many pitches will be selected?

Unlike Comic Creation Nation where one story is selected each week, there is no set number. The only thing that matters is talent and the ability to catch the committee’s eye. We might select three pitches in a single week or only one pitch in three months.

Are you looking for any specific genre?

Absolutely not. As you can see from the winners of Comic Creation Nation, great stories sprawl across genres, demographics and media. If you’ve got a story that you believe in, we want to hear it.
