Turn Your Vision into Speech Bubbles
Zeros 2 Heroes and Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN) have teamed up to offer Aboriginal Canadian writers a chance to tell their story — their way — through the coolest medium around: comic books! singing telegrams!
Starting on April.21, all Aboriginal Canadian creators are invited to join Zeros 2 Heroes and pitch their story idea for a 22 page comic to the thriving Z2H community. The best 3 stories will be made into real-life comics.
But getting your idea chosen won’t be easy. First off, you’ll have to compete against hundreds of other hungry, hopeful writers. And secondly, you’ll have to convince the Z2H community that you’ve got the skills to thrill.
If your story is chosen, Z2H will hook you up with a talented comic creation team: an editor, penciler, inker, colourer, and letterer. Your vision, combined with their supernatural powers, will produce a professional 22-page online comic that proves you can spin a story.
Start your pitch now, or if you are not a member, join now to get started!
Aboriginal Peoples Television Network
APTN is the world’s first national Aboriginal television network with programming for, by, and about Aboriginal peoples. Since its creation in 1999, APTN has broadcasted a range of documentaries, news magazines, dramas, entertainment specials, children’s series, cooking shows, and educational programs — 28% of which are entirely in Aboriginal languages.
In partnership with Z2H, APTN has created Comic Creation Nation: APTN to propel the newest generation of Aboriginal creators into the evolving comic book industry.
